Overview

Importa, the trading name of Importa General Merchant Limited, registered under the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (with registration number: RC 8219776), facilitates the purchase and importation of goods from China, the United Kingdom, and North America to African countries.

Importa and its affiliates (“we,” “us,” or “our”) value your trust in us for sharing your information with us. We prioritize your privacy and are dedicated to protecting it. This Privacy Notice outlines and describes the Personal Information we collect about you, as well as your privacy rights regarding why, how, and when we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information across our website (“the Platform”).

1. Definition

“Consent” means any freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous indication of your wishes through a clear affirmative action, signifying your agreement to the collection and processing of Personal Information relating to you.

  • Log/Technical Information: Our servers automatically record when you access our Services, information about your browser, links you have clicked on, length of visit on certain pages, unique device identifier, log-in information, location, and other device details.

2. How We Collect and Use Information

2.1. We collect information about you when you:

  • visit our website;

  • create an account to use the Platform;

  • access our Services and third-party service providers; or

  • contact us for support or inquiries.

2.2. We use your information to:

  • Facilitate the placement, processing, and delivery of your orders by buyers from suppliers.

For example, we may share information with third-party service providers to identify and send targeted advertisements or provide mailing services, tax and accounting services, contest fulfillment, web hosting, or analytics services.
